Yannick Ouaknine

Director, Head of Sustainability Research

Yannick Ouaknine is heading the Sustainability research team at Société Générale Global Markets, and joined SGCIB in March 2007. Yannick has a deep understanding of investor needs in the area of Sustainability research, having worked for more than 17 years in the field, with global coverage and responsibility (including exercising voting rights). He advises the broad financial community (asset owners, asset managers, hedge funds, corporates and academics) on the integration of sustainability criteria into financial analysis or reporting and is a regular speaker at international events. Prior to working at SGCIB, Yannick was Product Manager / RFP Analyst at BNP Paribas Asset Management (2000-2002) and Senior ESG analyst at BNP Paribas Investment Partners (2003-2007) in France. During this period, he worked with equity/credit analysts across all sectors to enhance traditional financial modelling by highlighting the impact of environmental, corporate governance and social issues on business performance and/or valuations. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA Hons) and a Master of Business Administration degrees from the École Supérieure de Gestion de Paris (ESG), and an executive training certificate in Corporate Finance from INSEAD.

Ng Lay San

Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications & Sustainability

Lay San is Senior Vice President, Group Strategic Communications and Sustainability at Sembcorp Industries, a leading provider of sustainable solutions listed on the main board of the Singapore Exchange. She leads the investor relations and sustainability functions at Sembcorp’s global headquarters, as well as the strategic development and implementation of global corporate communications activities across the Group. She has over 20 years of experience spanning strategic planning, investor relations and financial communications, sustainability, as well as corporate communications and issues management. Lay San is also the secretary of the Global Compact Network Singapore. She read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.

Edris Boey

Head of ESG Research

Maitri Asset Management

Edris Boey is Head of ESG Research at Maitri Asset Management, a Singapore-based multi-family office and licensed fund manager, and is responsible for developing and maintaining the firm’s proprietary ESG integrated investment framework and practice. Prior to joining Maitri Asset Management, Boey managed sustainability strategy, reporting, and compliance at Hong Leong Asia. Edris started her career in KPMG’s financial audit department, and moved to the firm’s climate change and sustainability department. She sits on the editorial panel for ESG Clarity Asia.

Esther Tsang

Esther Chang

Ms Esther Chang is the Executive Director of Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS). She leads GCNS initiatives to raise awareness and adoption of corporate sustainability efforts in Singapore and the region. She serves as the main liaison between GCNS and the United Nations Global Compact. Passionate about creating positive change in society and problem solving, Ms Chang has dedicated her career in the nonprofit sector and has worked for leading healthcare and education organisations, as well as grassroots NGOs in Canada and Singapore. She champions multilateral partnerships to responsibly invest in and develop sustainable solutions at scale. She is an active volunteer in human rights and social welfare causes. Ms Chang has a B.Sc (Hons) in Life Sciences from Queen's University (Canada) and completed post-graduate studies in Fundraising and Volunteer Management (Humber College, Canada) and Sustainability Leadership (University of Cambridge, UK). She is CFRE certified since 2012, an internationally recognized accreditation for philanthropic fundraising administered by CFRE International.

Vignesh R S

Head of ASEAN Specialist Sales

Vignesh R S is the head of workflows specialist for ASEAN at Bloomberg. Previously, Vignesh was an Equities and Equity Derivatives Workflow Specialist covering the ASEAN region and was also a Relationship Manager based out of Bloomberg’s European headquarters in London. Vignesh has a Masters degree in Quantitative Finance from the University of Sydney and Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University.
