Brian Roberts

As Head of Exchange Traded Products (ETPs), Brian is responsible for the development and management of HKEX’s exchange traded funds (ETFs) and leveraged and inverse (L&I) products, focusing on market development, client engagement and investor education. Brian joined in 2015 and brings over 10 years of ETF development and leadership experience to HKEX. Prior to HKEX, Brian was at Vanguard, where he was most recently Head of ETF Product Development Asia, focusing on developing their global ETF business. Brian holds an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Ning Lin

Managing Director

Mr. Lin has 21-year experience in financial industry. He started his career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers from 1999, and worked at Nomura International and Lehman Brothers before the merger in 2008 as the main trader of exotic rates, FX and hybrids portfolio in Asia across major G10 and EM currencies. From 2010 to 2016, he worked at UBS in Hong Kong as the Managing Director and fixed income trading head, and was also an Executive Officer representing UBS AG Hong Kong Branch under HKMA. Mr. Lin is the Partner and CEO of 9M Stone Capital Limited, a HK incorporated asset management firm. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business and is also a CFA charter-holder.

Shawn Shen

Vice President, Quantitative Portfolio Manager

Mr. Shen has 10-year experience in financial industry and spent 6 years at FTSE Russell and Citi Fixed Income Indices leading the APAC fixed income research team which was responsible for designing quantitative investment strategies and producing smart beta and factor research in fixed income and multi-asset. As the lead author, he has published various research on factor investing in academic and commercial journals. He started at Citigroup in 2012 as a member of the Citi commodities research team based in New York and later in Hong Kong. Prior to Citi, he worked at BlackRock in San Francisco and Lombarda China Fund Management in Shanghai. Mr. Shen has a Master of Financial Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Wayne Curry is head of Hong Kong, Taiwan & Korean enterprise sales at Bloomberg LP., the global business, financial information and news leader. Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Curry oversees regional strategy for Bloomberg’s financial products including the Bloomberg Professional service, the world's most trusted source of financial data, news and analytics. He leads a team that serves the financial information needs of leading corporations, regional banks, fund managers and the financial services industry. Mr. Curry has market expertise in foreign exchange, equities, fixed income, commodities and emerging/frontier markets. He joined Bloomberg in 2010 where he worked across a number of the firm’s offices including New York, Australia and Hong Kong, overseeing sales strategies & teams for buy-side, sell-side and corporations. He most recently led Bloomberg’s APAC corporations and commodities strategy.
