David Kang

David Kang is Head of Japan and Korea Research at BloombergNEF. He leads BNEF’s research and analysis on energy industry of Japan and Korea. The team covers topics including energy sector decarbonisation, commodity market outlook, impact of energy market reform, and the future of electrified transport. David also has 3 years of experience managing BNEF’s energy economics research for the Asia-Pacific region including levelized cost of electricity analysis and long-term power sector modelling. Prior to joining Bloomberg L.P., David worked at the World Bank based in Washington, D.C. with focus on renewable energy project development. He has a background in industrial engineering and holds an MSc. David is currently based in Tokyo, Japan.
