Pamela is the Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Bloomberg. In this role, she leads the company’s global diversity and inclusion initiatives around the world whilst establishing strategic direction, goals, and accountability. Pamela is cited as one of the most visible and vocal thought leaders and advocates for diversity across the private sector and has more than 20 years’ experience in managing diversity across engineering, financial services, technology, and media. Pamela has worked at firms including Barclay’s, Bechtel Ltd, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and Northern Trust and has been instrumental in firmly establishing ethnic diversity as an imperative across the City.

Kate Ahern

Kate is Managing Director and Head of ESG and Sustainability for Cartica Management, a majority women-owned active owner of public equities in Emerging Markets. At Cartica, Kate leads an active engagement approach to promote ESG and operational improvements that create shareholder and stakeholder value. Prior to joining Cartica, Kate was the Director of ESG and Communications at Bain Capital, where she oversaw ESG management, citizenship, communications and philanthropy. Kate was responsible for implementing ESG across asset classes within the investment portfolio, and she also helped launch the Bain Capital Double Impact Fund, which focused on investing in for-profit companies with a social mission. Prior to her time at Bain Capital, Kate served as VP of Social Innovation at the Case Foundation, where she concentrated on impact investing and corporate responsibility. She has also managed international development, supply chain, employee engagement, and corporate responsibility programs for Fortune 100 companies, USAID, IFC, and other partners in Emerging Markets worldwide.

Fred Cummings

Fred Cummings is the President and Founder of Elizabeth Park Capital Management. He serves as Portfolio Manager for the privately-held, alternative asset management firm focused on long/short equity, event-driven, and customized investment opportunities in the banking sector. Mr. Cummings is an investment and banking portfolio manager with 30+ years’ industry experience leading disciplined, client-focused investment practices. His esteemed performance establishes him as a principled bellwether across the investing and banking industry. His singular focus on banks paired with his curated approach to investing, M&A, and risk analysis transcends the Elizabeth Park mission to be the best bank investment firm in the country. Prior to founding Elizabeth Park, Fred achieved a distinguished 17-year career at KeyBanc Capital Markets as one of the sell-side’s foremost Senior Analysts covering the banking sector. He additionally served as a Senior Analyst for FSI Group, a financial services hedge fund. He launched his career at McDonald & Co. as a sell-side Junior Analyst. Fred earned his BA in Economics with honors from Oberlin College. He actively supports Oberlin’s Connect Cleveland Initiative and Business Scholars Speaking Program as an honored guest speaker for 23 consecutive years. He is an alumnus and ardent supporter of Western Reserve Academy (WRA). Fred dedicates his time serving on several boards, including The Marshall Project, Strategic Value Bank Partners, and Nirvana Analytics. He serves as an investment committee member for Laurel School and WRA.

Fernando Vigil

Fernando has 19 years of experience across both public and private equity investing. Most recently, he was with Brookside Capital (aka Bain Capital Public Equities), which he joined in 2008. He served as a Managing Director from 2014 to 2016 and as a Director from 2010 to 2013. He was co-head of the consumer sector reporting directly to the fund’s Portfolio Manager. In that role he managed a portfolio of global long and short positions with responsibility for the sector investment process, including idea generation, due diligence, position sizing, portfolio and risk management within the sector, in partnership with the fund’s leadership. He worked on investments in all major geographies, with a focus on the U.S., Europe and Latin America. Fernando began his investment career with Bain Capital in 2001. From 2001 to 2008 he worked as an Analyst, Associate and Principal with Bain Capital Ventures, the venture and growth capital affiliate of Bain Capital. During his time there he was involved in a number of growth and venture stage investments in software, information services and healthcare services. He holds a B.A. in Economics (with distinction) from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar and Siebel Scholar.

Prior to this, she produced Bloomberg TV’s European markets show ‘The Pulse’ which aired across Europe, Asia and the U.S.. Before joining Bloomberg, she spent more than two years covering the energy sector in Alberta, Canada and also reported on energy legislation in Washington, DC. She leads Aon’s Global ESG Think Tank and Working Group and continues to work with Aon’s investment consulting group to assist asset owners ESG integration, divestment and decarbonization strategies, impact and mission-related investing and diverse asset initiatives. An investment professional with more than 20 years’ experience, Meredith is the award-winning author of “Women of The Street: Why Female Money Managers Generate Higher Returns (And How You Can Too)”, was selected as a distinguished author by the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2018 and testified before the U.S. House of Representatives in 2019.

Susan Webb

Susan is the Co-Founder and President/CIO of Appomattox Advisory, Inc., a New York-based Outsourced CIO firm specialized in institutional endowments. Under Susan’s leadership, Appomattox was named Institutional Investor’s 2016 Outsourced CIO of the Year and was a finalist in 2017 and 2019. Prior to co-founding Appomattox, she was Head of First Atlas Capital, Inc., a multi-billion dollar global fund-of-hedge funds manager. During her tenure there, she served on the Global Investment Committee and launched, with Weston Capital, the Weston-Atlas Manager Seeding Platform. As President and CIO of Appomattox, Susan has prioritized diversity in both her team and in its partner managers: more than 20% of the managers she invests with represent women and minority-owned firms, and Appomattox has allocated over $350 million to managers committed to socially responsible investing. Outside of her role at Appomattox, Susan serves on the boards of GTI Capital Group, The Brick Presbyterian Church, and the High-Water Women Foundation, founded in 2005 to teach financial literacy and to support young women pursuing careers in finance. She has previously lead panel discussions on the importance of manager diversity at events hosted by 100 Women in Finance, the Toigo Foundation, and the CFA Society of New York.

Sheryl leads the investment committee at Steward Asset Management, a New York based anchor investor to emerging private equity and opportunistic managers as they prepare to launch fund I. Previously she was the Director of Emerging Managers at the New York State Common Retirement Fund, overseeing approximately $8 billion in commitments to over 120 smaller and emerging firms. Previously she held roles at Decagon Advisors, Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust and KPMG. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School and earned her bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Queen’s University in Canada. She is a CFA charterholder and a Canadian Chartered Accountant. In addition, she serves as Director of the Levy vonWald Foundation which primarily focuses on literacy initiatives in New York State.

Gina Martin Adams, CFA, CMT, is the Global Head of Portfolio Strategy and Chief Equity Strategist for Bloomberg Intelligence, a unique research platform that provides context on markets, industries, companies, and government policy, available on the Bloomberg Professional Service at BI . Gina provides top-down perspective on the equity market, sectors and industries with a multi-disciplined approach that utilizes fundamental, quantitative and technical analysis. Prior to joining Bloomberg, she was the head of U.S. Equity Strategy for Wells Fargo Securities, where she provided analysis and investment allocation recommendations for Wells Fargo Securities' institutional clients. Previously, she was an economist for Wachovia Bank, and an investment strategy analyst for Evergreen Asset Management. Mrs. Adams has a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration with concentrations in Finance and Marketing from the University of Florida. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician designations, and is a member of the CFA Institute, the CMT Association, the CFA Society of New York, the American Association of Professional Technical Analysts, the Financial Women's Association, and 100 Women in Finance.

Emma Bentley

Emma leads Bloomberg’s Alternative Investment Mandates Platform, connecting alternative fund managers to investors seeking capital. She collaborates with U.S. and APAC family offices, fund of funds, foundations, endowments and various other institution investors to tailor their alternative investment searches and target appropriate fund managers. Emma also works across Bloomberg’s Private Equity and Hedge Fund platforms to connect funds to customized investor mandate searches. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Emma was an Account Executive at DealCloud, where she provided deal analysis, business development, and investor relations strategy to U.S. Private Equity clients. Previously, she was in major account sales at both Akamai Technologies and EverTrue. Emma holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Economics and Science in Society from Wesleyan University. She is an active member of 100 Women in Finance and Wesleyan’s Women in Business Society.
