Australia’s agriculture sector is set to top A$70 billion for the first time amid a bumper harvest and soaring grain prices—but forecasts warn that the good times won’t last. Agricultural gross value is predicted to reach a record A$73 billion in 2021-22, the Australian Bureau of Agricultural & Resource Economics and Sciences said in its September outlook report. Exports are also poised to reach an all-time high of A$54.7 billion, compared with A$49.7 billion estimated in June.
