Steel Decarbonization: Technologies & Costs

The steel-making industry is one of the largest single sources of carbon emissions—and therefore a crucial sector to decarbonize. While green steel currently requires a price premium, by 2050 hydrogen- and electrolysis-based processes could be cheaper than coal- or gas-based production.

Join Bloomberg and the Indonesian Iron & Steel Industry Association (IISIA) as our specialists discuss technology options and costs of producing near zero-emissions steel. We will also examine carbon tax development in Indonesia.
