Sabina Mehmood

Product Manager, Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index

Sabina Mehmood joined Bloomberg in March 2015 where she serves as product manager of the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI). The GEI, which sits in Bloomberg's Sustainable Finance Solutions team, tracks the financial performance of companies committed to advancing women in the workplace globally. Previously specializing in marketing management, Sabina has supported government relations, media and communications initiatives across the firm as well as well as philanthropic programming at Bloomberg Philanthropies. Sabina also sits as a steering committee member of the US 30% Club, managing client relations and programming. In this role, Sabina builds regionalized, targeted, and integrated event strategies that enable cross-business integration and influence business value and results. Sabina has a BBA in Finance from the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, and a MS in Corporate Communications from The Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, Baruch College.

Sophia Sung

Team Leader for Governance, PAY, Gender-Equality Index

Sophia Sung is the Team Leader of the Governance Scoring, PAY, and Gender-Equality Index team in the ESG Data department at Bloomberg. Sophia joined Bloomberg in 2015, focusing on U.S. municipal bonds, green bond standards, news generation, league tables and more. In 2020 she made the move to become the Lead Data Specialist for the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index on the ESG team where she focused on improving the data capture and data submission user experience, data acquisition workflow, and scoring methodology. Sophia earned her BA in Economics from Rutgers University and minored in statistics. She shares her passion for diversity as a member of the Bloomberg Pan-Asian and Women's Community.

ALYSSA GILMORE

Global Head of Communications Bloomberg Financial Products

Alyssa Gilmore is the Global Head of Communications for Bloomberg Financial Products. She leads an international team that manages and promotes the company's brand and reputation through advances in media relations, content creation, customer advocacy, competitive intelligence, and third-party influence. Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2014, Alyssa held management positions in marketing and communications at SunGard Financial Systems, where she also created SunGard’s global analyst relations division. Since entering the Financial Technology sector with Thomson Financial in 1996, she has led strategic initiatives in front and back office solutions, risk management and corporate banking. Alyssa is a recognized commentator on the the communications profession, financial media and the evolution of fintech. She serves on the Museum of American Finance Communications Executives Advisory Panel.
