Ian Hummel is a Technical Product Manager for BQuant Enterprise working within the Office of the CTO. As part of his role in the Office of the CTO, he oversees strategic initiatives at the intersection of machine learning, big data, and cloud computing. Previous to Bloomberg, he led product initiatives in online marketing, identity federation, and enterprise search. He has a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from Boston University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Ben Clarke

UK & Ireland Desktop Build Group Team Lead

Ben Clarke is the UK & Ireland Desktop Build Group Team Lead at Bloomberg, leading a team of financial application developers and specialists to help Bloomberg clients in developing quantitative research via BQuant, Bloomberg's python-based data science platform.

Ben's team works very closely with the BQuant product development team, helping to shape the future direct and go to market strategy across the region - with a particular focus on factor scoring, relative valuation analysis, asset allocation and research management workflows. Ben also manages the Excel/ VBA development team.

He joined Bloomberg 10 years ago and has worked in London and Hong Kong.
