Chris Michel

Americas Head of Diversity & Inclusion

Chris Michel is the Americas Head of Diversity & Inclusion at Bloomberg LP. In this role, he provides thought leadership and guidance to HR partners, business leaders, managers and employees. Mr. Michel joined Bloomberg from Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH), where he was the first Chief Diversity Officer in the firm’s 200-year history. At BBH, he was responsiblefor developing and implementing global strategies to grow the bank’s cultural competency, attract and retain employees across the full spectrum of diversity, and build the firm’s external profile as a leader in diversity and inclusion efforts. Prior to BBH, Michel spent several years at the American International Group (AIG) where he was the Head of Leadership Development, charged with driving the strategic direction and integration of assessment methodologies and development experiences for AIG’s top executives globally. He has held several senior-level diversity and HR roles over the course of his career and been responsible for initiatives and programs in over 60 countries around the world. Having served as a member of several non-profit boards, he is also an award-winning writer of short-story fiction and spent one season as a volunteer assistant coach of the boys’ Varsity basketball team at St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas. Michel graduated summa cum laude from the City College of New York, and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

Amanda Pullinger

Chief Executive Officer

100 Women in Finance

Ms. Pullinger is the Chief Executive Officer of 100 Women in Finance. She leads a staff team and provides direction to 500 volunteer practitioners globally. The organization, which now has nearly 20,000 registered members in 26 locations, is focused on empowering women in the finance industry and inspiring the next generation of pre-career young women. Ms. Pullinger is a former principal of Aquamarine Capital Management, where she was responsible, over a period of seven years, for managing marketing, investor relations and back office administration for two private investment funds. Ms. Pullinger is Chair and Non Executive Director of the Board of FlyPlymouth, based in Plymouth, UK. She also serves on the Boards of the HALO Trust (USA), the American Friends of The National Portrait Gallery (London) Foundation and as a Director on the Oxford University Alumni Board. She is President of the Brasenose Society, Vice Chair of the Women’s Network Forum and an Advisory Board Member of the Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance (Harambe). Previously, she served as Chairman of the Board of The HALO Trust (www.halotrust.org) and served on the Board of Langone NYU Cancer Institute. She was on the founding Board of 100 Women in Finance, serving as its President for two years. She is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Ms. Pullinger graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University in 1987 with an Honours Degree in Modern History. She earned an MBA from La Salle University, Philadelphia, in 1998, and received the Academic Award for MBA student of the year as well as the Beta Gamma Sigma designation.

Nadine Terman

Ms. Terman is a Founder, CEO and CIO of Solstein Capital, LLC. At Solstein, she oversees both investment and operations functions and leads the firm as a Managing Member. With over twenty-five years of experience, Ms. Terman manages tactical, global portfolios for institutional, family office and high net worth clients at Solstein. Previously, Ms. Terman was a Partner with Blum Capital Partners and served on its Investment Committee. For over eight years, she invested in both public and private companies and worked extensively with portfolio companies' management teams and boards on business, financial, and governance initiatives. Prior to Blum Capital, Ms. Terman was a private equity Associate with Behrman Capital. She also worked as an Analyst with both Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. Ms. Terman is a regular contributor across global television, radio and media platforms. Ms. Terman has a B.A. with Honors and with Distinction from Stanford University and was recognized with the Firestone Medal for Excellence in Research and as Phi Beta Kappa. In addition, she earned an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she was an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Angela Matheny

Director of Investment Staff & Diverse Manager Equity

Angela Matheny joined Crewcial Partners in July 2016. She and the firm’s CIO co-manage the investment team to ensure internal processes are efficient while overseeing the firm’s manager selection process and the systematic process that helps best ideas become constructed into portfolios. Valuing human capital, focusing on diverse talent acquisition and building a training and development program is another area of expertise. Angela also continues to drive the firm’s manager diversity initiative to attract and source diverse asset managers while monitoring protocol and the internal vetting process of women and diverse asset managers. Angela facilitates the constant communication between Crewcial and fund managers as the firm continues to build a robust pipeline of what it believes is a largely under-followed segment of the asset manager community marketplace. Angela also acts as a conduit in sourcing diverse managers when recommendations or introductions are made by clients and/or board members. She frequently attends emerging manager/diverse manager conferences returning with best practices while networking and learning about industry-wide issues and the inclusive approach many institutions may take to include diverse managers in their searches. Angela received a Master of Public Administration at Metropolitan College of New York. She also earned a Certificate in Human Resources Management from VillaNova University, which included studies in diversity and inclusion. Angela’s Bachelor’s degree is in Psychology from Bernard Baruch College of New York. She also serves on York College’s (CUNY) foundation board.

Jasmine N. Richards

Head of Diverse Manager Research

Jasmine N. Richards, CFA joined Cambridge Associates in 2018 as Senior Investment Director and Head of Diverse Manager Research to lead the firm’s ongoing initiative to identify diverse, institutional-quality investment managers in all public and private asset classes. A highly experienced investment research executive, Ms. Richards has over fifteen years of both buy and sell side experience. Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Ms. Richards worked at FIS Group as an International Equity Research Analyst responsible for identifying and managing investment strategies, with an emphasis on diverse-owned asset managers. Additionally, Ms. Richards has previously worked in several manager research, sales and client management roles at several other firms. After beginning her career at Bear Stearns in the Private Client Services division, Ms. Richards transferred her financial experience to the Institutional Trading Desk at Oppenheimer & Co. While at Oppenheimer she was subsequently promoted to the sole Research Associate for the Institutional Investor ranked Chief Market Technician. While at State Street Global Advisors, she also served as a portfolio manager in their Global Equity Beta Solutions team and Investment Solutions Group. Ms. Richards holds an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business where she concentrated in Finance, Accounting and Strategic Management. While at University of Chicago, Ms. Richards also studied Emerging Markets at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. She also attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the New York Institute of Technology for her undergraduate education. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Boston.

Erik Serrano Berntsen

Erik Serrano Berntsen is CEO of Stable Asset Management, responsible for defining and executing the firm’s Investment Strategy. Stable builds Strategic Partnerships with talented investors and helps them build world-class investment firms. With offices in New York and London, Stable’s track record of success is down to working with inspiring investors and business-builders. Prior to Stable, Erik was a consultant with Bain & Co., where he executed both private equity deal studies and investment opportunity sizing deals as part of the Private Equity Group (PEG), and participated in a broad spectrum of corporate client engagements for clients including banks and asset managers. A believer in education as a tool for change, Erik supports initiatives such as the LSE Alternative Investment Conference, the largest student conference for alternatives globally, and the charity Grit. Amongst other initiatives, Stable is a supporter of 100 Women in Finance and a Founding Partner of #100blackinterns. Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Keble College, University of Oxford and a Masters of Business Administration with honours and a Concentration in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
