In this session, Alex Cole and Tyler Wood will discuss a responsible top-down approach to market analysis and how the best-performing fund managers employ technical analysis in their investment process. Alex Cole is a market analyst and software developer. Over the past 20 years, Alex has led technical analysis and data visualization teams, directing both business strategy and product development of analytics tools for investment professionals. As the Managing Director of the CMT Association, Tyler has presented the tools of technical analysis around the world to investment firms, regulators, exchanges, and broker-dealers. Prior to founding GoNoGo Charts, Tyler worked in management consulting and publishing. Tyler graduated from Macalester College and received his MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Jamie is a crypto market analyst for Bloomberg Intelligence and is responsible for creating crypto market structure, asset, sector and thematic analysis content for clients. He takes a multi-disciplinary approach to his analysis of this emergent asset class, combining fundamental, technical, quantitative, macro and on-chain data. Jamie has over 20 years of experience in the financial markets, starting his career as a stockbroker in Australia. He went on to work as a hedge fund trader and in equity sales. He joined Bloomberg in 2014 as an equity specialist driving operational and alpha generation initiatives within the CIO office and investment teams for APAC buy sides. Over the past four years, Jamie has immersed himself in the crypto/digital assets space, helping shape the product offering and sales strategy. Jamie also holds a Chartered Markets Technician (CMT) designation and serves on the global board of the CMT Association.
