Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index Product Manager

Ani Widham is the Product Manager of the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) and ESG Scores at Bloomberg. She manages the development and integration of the GEI throughout the Bloomberg Terminal as well as the creation of our materiality based, data driven ESG Scores. She previously served on the Secretariat for the G20’s Financial Stability Board Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), working with corporations and financial institutions on the implementation of the TCFD recommendations, as well as on the European Commission’s Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance. She was also a member of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s working group on Climate Intelligence for Business Strategy and Financial Planning. Prior to this role Ani was a senior account manager in Bloomberg’s Terminal sales department and began her career at CBS News. Ani holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University. Outside of product development she contributes to sustainability initiatives through volunteering with Echoing Green.

Sophia Sung

Team Leader for Governance, PAY, Gender-Equality Index

Sophia Sung is the Team Leader of the Governance Scoring, PAY, and Gender-Equality Index team in the ESG Data department at Bloomberg. Sophia joined Bloomberg in 2015, focusing on U.S. municipal bonds, green bond standards, news generation, league tables and more. In 2020 she made the move to become the Lead Data Specialist for the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index on the ESG team where she focused on improving the data capture and data submission user experience, data acquisition workflow, and scoring methodology. Sophia earned her BA in Economics from Rutgers University and minored in statistics. She shares her passion for diversity as a member of the Bloomberg Pan-Asian and Women's Community.
