Phil Lloyd

Head of Customer Sales Delivery

NatWest Markets

Phil leads a customer sales delivery team which brings together content-led customer engagement, customer analytics, cross product e-sales, automation developments and key customer relationship management.

Drawing on his experience across sales, regulatory delivery and strategy (both micro and macro), Phil’s focus is on engaging customers about the ever-changing market structure and regulatory world.

In addition to his bank role, Phil is co-chair of the UK Risk-Free Rates Communications Group and an active member of the main group. He sits on the Advisory Council of the Financial Markets Standards Board helping set the agenda and strategy. Phil also holds key roles on various EU RFR working groups that are shaping this pivotal market reform, and acts as EU ambassador to ensure messaging is delivered into UK markets.

Additionally, Phil holds a leading role on the steering committee of the Global Foreign Exchange Division (GFXD), the FX division of AFME.

Phil has a Masters in Economics, University of Nottingham.

Sam Priyadarshi

Principal, Global Head of Portfolio Risk and Derivatives

Vanguard Group Inc

Dr. Sam Priyadarshi is Principal, and Global Head of Portfolio Risk and Derivatives at Vanguard and leads a global team responsible for market risk management of active fixed income funds totaling $190 billion and for the trading of over $1.2 trillion annually in cash and derivatives instruments. He serves on Vanguard’s LIBOR Transition Steering Committee.

Prior to joining Vanguard in 2009, he worked at the Lincoln Financial Group for 12 years, where he was Vice President, Derivatives and was responsible for hedging insurance products and portfolios.

Dr. Priyadarshi holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi. He holds a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and has a Ph.D. in finance from Virginia Tech. He has more than 24 years of investment experience, has spoken at several industry conferences, and has guest lectured at many universities. He is an active participant in many industry panels and working groups related to derivatives and fixed income markets. He is a member of CFTC’s Market Risk Advisory Committee (MRAC) and is a member of the MRAC Interest Rate Benchmark Reform Subcommittee. He serves on the Advisory Board of UCLA Anderson School MFE program.

William Shaw

William Shaw is an editor on the FX/rates team at Bloomberg News in London, covering the Libor transition in the U.K. and the U.S. Previously he was a senior reporter at Law360, senior editor in the legal section at Thomson Reuters and managing editor at the Cambodia Daily newspaper.

Thomas Pluta

Global Head of Linear Rates Trading, Co-Head of NA Rates Trading

Thomas Pluta is Global Head of the Linear Rates Trading business at J.P. Morgan. He is also Co-Head of North American Rates Trading. In these roles, Tom manages a leading group of professionals located in 7 countries around the world. His career spans 26 years at J.P. Morgan, and has included managing trading teams across the Foreign Exchange and Rates businesses, in both Emerging and Developed Markets.

Tom is also involved in a variety of initiatives. He is the Corporate and Investment Bank lead for the firm-wide LIBOR Transition Program and a champion for advancing JP Morgan’s people agenda. He has been actively engaged throughout his career in recruiting, training, mentorship and culture-building efforts. He holds leadership positions with Women on the Move, the Black & Hispanic Leadership Forum Advisory Council and the Conduct and Culture Steering Committees for both Markets and the CIB. Tom was also a founding member of the Analyst and Associate Development Council and serves as the firm-wide Captain for the Yale Recruiting Team.

Externally, Tom serves on the Board of Directors of Tradeweb Markets Inc, on the Board of Directors of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), and is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Treasury Market Practices Group (TMPG).

A native of New York City, Tom currently resides there with his wife and children. He holds a BA in Economics from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard University.

Meredith Coffey

Executive Vice President – Research & Public Policy

Meredith Coffey is Executive Vice President of the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA). In this position as a member of the senior leadership team, she runs the Research Department and co-heads the LSTA’s public policy initiatives, which help facilitate continued availability of credit and the efficiency of the loan market. In addition, Ms. Coffey heads efforts to analyze current and anticipated loan market developments, helping the LSTA build strategy and improve market efficiency, and providing insight through weekly newsletters, periodic conferences, webcasts and media commentary.

Ms. Coffey is on the Alternative Reference Rates Committee (ARRC), which is working to transition from LIBOR to a successor rate; she co-chairs the ARRC’s Business Loans Working Group and the Loans Operations Sub-Group. She and the analyst team also engage market participants, press and regulators on issues and developments in the global loan market. Ms. Coffey has published analysis on the syndicated loan market in numerous books and periodicals, presents frequently, and has testified several times before Congress on issues pertaining to the loan and CLO markets.

Prior to joining the LSTA, Ms. Coffey was Senior Vice President and Director of Analysis focusing on the loan and adjacent markets for Thomson Reuters LPC, working in and running loan research for 15 years. Ms. Coffey has a B.A. in Economics from Swarthmore College and a graduate degree in Economics from New York University.

Audrey Blater

Research Director

Aite Group

Audrey Blater, Ph.D., is the research director of Aite Group’s Institutional Securities & Investment team, focusing on fixed income, foreign exchange, listed and OTC derivatives, and risk management research. Her work spans technological developments, industry trends, and market structure as well as the impact of financial regulations.

Ms. Blater brings to Aite Group over 20 years of financial markets experience. Most recently, she served as the director of research for the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA). During her tenure at ISDA, she led the association’s research effort to communicate public policy goals and derivatives industry trends to ISDA’s membership, the regulatory community, and other stakeholders through public speaking engagements and written research, including thought leadership pieces, white papers, and commentaries.

Ms. Blater was also a senior applied researcher for MSCI Inc., where she worked with sales professionals to engage clients and prospects through in-person meetings and written research related to multiple-asset class market risk. She authored several papers focusing on enterprise risk management, stress testing, and expected shortfall, drawing from the market knowledge she gained as a fixed income analyst and trader working for AQR Capital Management, a Greenwich, Connecticut-based quantitative hedge fund.

Ms. Blater holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Economics from Fordham University as well as a B.B.A. from Iona College. Her thesis, China’s New Millennium Financial Liberalization Programs: Economic Risks to the Chinese Retail Investor has been presented and discussed at multiple forums.

Mark Flatman

Mark Flatman serves as the Global Head of Core Terminal Product at Bloomberg, overseeing the development of the functions, applications, analytics and communications infrastructure that comprise the heart of the Bloomberg Terminal. Together, this business is committed to building better outcomes for customers as they use the Bloomberg Terminal across every element of their workflow - now and in the future. Mark has worked at Bloomberg for 20 years. Previously, he led the Sell-Side Enterprise Products business, and also oversaw the regional Sales teams for the company's APAC and EMEA businesses. Prior to Bloomberg, Mark held a role in Audit at Ernst & Young. He graduated with an Engineering degree from Durham University.
