G20 Regulatory Reporting is again at the top of the regulatory agenda globally, with re-writes such as EMIR, ASIC, MAS and JFSA expected to go-live in 2024. In Europe and in the UK, firms trading in derivatives will be subject to the amended European Markets Infrastructure Regulation, or EMIR Refit. The new technical standards on reporting requirements in Europe raises the bar in terms of data quality with an obligation to report accurately, beyond Trade Repository validations. Post go-live, Firms will have to pro-actively notify their supervisors in case of failure in doing so. Policymakers and supervisors' focus has shifted from getting the data out to getting the data right. Now is the time to prepare to ensure readiness.

Following the acquisition of RegTek Solutions in August 2019, Marco lead the evolution of this team into Bloomberg Regulatory Reporting Services (BRRS) which provides both Primary Reporting as well Assurance Controls capabilities.

Richard has built a wealth of experience during his 17 years in the financial markets. Having started his career in the foreign exchange & corporate cash brokerage market on behalf of Tullett Prebon, he then qualified with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment spending a number of years providing private client advice for HNWI’s, before turning to the financial and regulatory technology space where for the last 8 years, Richard has focused specifically on taking to market assurance controls within the regulatory trade and transaction reporting industry, both for RegTek Solutions and subsequently for Bloomberg following their acquisition.
