US NEO: the Impact of the Inflation Reduction Act

For the first time the BNEF team has published a US breakout report of their New Energy Outlook. Additionally, the team has modeled the landmark Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in order to assess the impact that the legislation could have on the energy transition.

Discussion Topics:
  • What could a transition to net zero look like in the US? Which sectors and technologies have the biggest role to play?
  • Where is there most progress currently being made in the energy transition? Where are the gaps and does the IRA help fill these gaps?
  • Recommendations for public and private sector actors to maximize the benefit of the IRA and accelerate the energy transition.
