Thought for Food: Unpacking Climate and Nature Targets Across the Agri-Food Value Chain

Many food, beverage and agriculture companies have set lofty targets to make their operations and supply-chains more sustainable and resilient. But their tool chest and budgets are limited, and in the absence of policy support, most companies need to navigate complex value chains to effect change on the farm.

BloombergNEF’s ongoing research series on corporate commitments across the agri-food value chain examines how more than 130 global firms are addressing their impact on climate and nature. The research details the ambition and scope of company commitments across multiple dimensions – including energy, production, waste and packaging – and examines the targets and progress of corporate-led regenerative agriculture initiatives.

In this webinar, BNEF director Paul Benjamin will join food and agriculture analysts Alistair Purdie and Helen Ramsbottom to discuss the findings of their recent analysis. Together they will discuss how leading companies approach and collaborate on the agri-food transition, the opportunities and challenges of scaling regenerative agriculture, and the technologies, practices and market enablers that drive maximum impact.
