Abhimanyu Yadav

Head of Fixed Income and Currency Fund Management

MCB Capital Markets

Abhi leads the development of fixed income and currency fund management at MCB Capital Markets, specializing in African local and hard currency debt. With prior experience as a portfolio manager at MEAG New York (Munich Re), he directed strategy for Canadian fixed income portfolios ($10 billion AUM) and co-managed credit for US portfolios ($30 billion AUM). Before this, Abhi held roles as a Risk Manager and Credit Analyst at Genworth Financial for four years. His expertise encompasses sovereign bonds, investment-grade and high-yield corporates, emerging/frontier market debt, and structured products, across active and passive mandates. Abhi holds a Masters in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and is a Professional Risk Manager (PRM) and a CFA® charterholder.

Albin Kakou

Principal Investment Officer

African Development Bank (AfDB)

Albin Kakou is a Principal Investment Officer in the Capital Markets Division at the African Development Bank (AfDB). He is responsible for new products development, insurance, and financial sector driven public budget support programmes and has led in the design of the Capital Markets Development Trust Fund. He has been directly involved in delivering and executing key financial markets-funded and unfunded operations worth over USD 1.5 billion. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked for Silk Invest (London) as a Portfolio Manager of two Bond Funds. Previously, he was a member of the European Pension Fund Advisory Team at Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking (London), and an FX Quantitative Analyst at HSBC and Lehman Brothers (London). He holds a master’s degree in Quantitative Finance from Ecole Polytechnique (Paris).

Yvonne Mhango

Africa Economist

Yvonne Mhango is the Africa Economist for Bloomberg Economics, based in Johannesburg. She previously worked as Africa economist and head of Africa research at Renaissance Capital, and chief economist at Equity Bank. Yvonne holds a Masters' degree in Business Science, majoring in Economics, from the University of Cape Town.

Ebru Boysan

Market Specialist Debt Capital Market, Middle East and Africa

Ebru has specialized in fixed income markets for the region since 2008, responsible for localizing Bloomberg’s products, multi-class asset product development and business strategy including Islamic Finance. Prior to this, she managed Bloomberg Sales for Russia, CIS, former soviet republics this is their new name Eastern Europe, the Balkans and Turkey. Ebru started her career in Solomon Brothers New York, as a Debt Capital Markets analyst focusing on sovereign debt issuance and asset liability advisory. Ebru has authored a number of articles – topics include the introduction of VAT in the GCC and the Pakistan economy. She has an MSc in finance from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. Ebru also works closely with exchanges, Central Banks and Ministry of Finances on formation of liquidity platforms in local markets in fixed income space.
