José Manuel Campa

European Banking Authority (EBA)

José Manuel Campa, is the Chairperson of the European Banking Authority (EBA). He was appointed in March 2019 and is serving a renewable five-year term. He represents the Authority and by chairing the meetings of the Board of Supervisors and of the Management Board, he steers the strategic direction of the Authority. From 2015 and prior to this appointment, Campa served as Global Head of Regulatory Affairs, for Grupo Santander. Prior to that, he was Professor of Finance and Economics at IESE Business School. Between 2009 and 2011 Campa served as Secretary of State for the Economy in the Ministry of Economy and Finances of Spain. He was a member of the Financial Stability Board, the board of the European Financial Stability Facility, the Economic and Financial Committee and alternate governor in multilateral financial institutions. He has served in the Expert Group, chaired by Mr. Erkki Liikanen, evaluating policy recommendations on structural reforms for the European Banking industry. He has also taught at the Stern School of Business of New York University and at Columbia University. He has been Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and Research Fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research. Campa has also been a consultant to a large number of international organizations, including the International Monetary Fund, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Bank of International Settlements in Basel, and the European Commission. He has served on the boards of Prime Collateralised Securities (PCS) Europe, Bruegel, and General de Alquiler de Maquinaria. José Manuel Campa holds a Ph.D. and a master degree in economics from Harvard University and a Licenciatura in law and in economics from the Universidad de Oviedo.

Anat Guetta

Chairwoman

Israeli Securities Authority

Ms. Anat Guetta has served as the Chairwoman of the Israeli Securities Authorities since January 2018. From the first day of her term, Anat consistently leads the transformation of the Israeli capital market by promoting financial innovation; creating an attractive regulatory environment for leading local and global participants; and by tightening the linkage between the Israeli Hi Tech scene and the Israeli capital market. Among others, Anat promoted a new regulatory architecture to establish digital trading platforms; initiated and approved some new investment alternatives; changing the patterns of financial services consumption by leading the Open Finance Reform via enhancing fintech access to operate in Israel; and many other initiatives. Before this position, Anat co-founded and served as the CEO of Entropy Financial Research Services Ltd., local proxy advisor for institutional investors on corporate governance, shareholders voting, and protecting minority interest in the Israeli capital market. In 2005, Anat joined Arko Holding Ltd., a listed issuer traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, and served as CEO of the firm from its inception until 2008.

Nicole Sandler

Barclays

Head of Digital Policy

Nicole is the Head of Digital Policy at Barclays. She focuses on the impact of FinTech and RegTech related regulation and initiatives including AI and DLT usecases (such as digital assets and CBDCs) and also focuses on data policy matters. She regularly engages with policymakers globally. Further, she represents Barclays in various regulatory and policy forums and industry groups. For example, Nicole is on the European Commission’s Expert Group on Regulatory Obstacles to Financial Innovation, GFMA’s CBDC Taskforce and chairs the UK Finance New Forms of Digital Money SteerCo. In addition, she represented Barclays at both the Crypto-asset and Blockchain roundtable and Digital Identity roundtable at the European Parliament. Nicole regularly speaks on panels, presents at conferences and universities and has articles published. She was named in the FinTech Magazine ‘Top 100 Women in FinTech 2022’, the City Am Crypto Am ‘Industry Personality of the Year 2022’, Re. Work ‘Top 30 Women in Fintech’, the ‘Influencer of the Year’ at the NY Finovate Awards, the ‘Most Influential Women in FinTech Regulation – UK’ at the Wealth and Finance Awards and is on the Innovate Finance Powerlist.

Babs Ogundeyi

CEO and Co-Founder

Kuda

Babs Ogundeyi is the CEO and co-founder of Kuda Technologies, a fintech company on a mission to make financial services more affordable, accessible and rewarding for every African. Starting with Nigeria where it has about 5 million customers, Kuda is giving Africans a better alternative with personal and business banking delivered through digital devices, free transfers, smart budgeting and instant access to credit. Kuda has raised over $90 million from institutional investors including Valar Ventures and Target Global. Before starting Kuda, Babs advised some of Africa's biggest banks whilst at PricewaterhouseCoopers and was a Special Adviser on Finance in the Nigerian government. He is also a founder of two other companies.
