Len Welter

Head of Mobile Product, Bloomberg Professional app

Bloomberg

Len Welter is the Global Product Head for Bloomberg’s Professional App platform. He started his career at Bloomberg in 2016 as the product manager for Bloomberg Message and transitioned to running the Bloomberg Professional App in 2018.

Based in New York, Len is responsible for the overall strategy and development of the Bloomberg Professional App, ensuring that clients can stay connected and get the data and information they need while away from their desks. Prior to arriving at Bloomberg, Len held several executive-level positions in product management and data science at Markit, served as Chief Technology Officer for Data Explorers, and led trading desk automation programs as an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley in London.

Based in New York, Len is responsible for the overall strategy and development of the Bloomberg Professional App. This includes working closely with Mobile Product, Engineering and Design as well with teams across Bloomberg to ensure that clients are getting the data and information they need while away from the Terminal.

Len holds an MBA from London Business School and a B.A. in Foreign Affairs and Economics from Assumption University.

Maliha Salim

Product Manager, Bloomberg Professional app

Maliha Salim is a Product Manager for Bloomberg’s mobile app platform. She started her career at Bloomberg in 2007 as part of the Financial Sales & Analytics Training Program. During her 15 years at the company, Maliha has held positions in both New York and London across a variety of departments including Analytics, Sales & Product. In Analytics, she managed a team of specialists focusing on the FX & Commodity sector before moving to Sales, where she was a relationship manager for London Sellside accounts and the Global Sales Advocate for the Community and Collaboration Product Group. In 2016, she was promoted to a Team Leader position, overseeing a group of relationship managers who looked after some of Bloomberg's key accounts. Maliha moved on to work in Bloomberg’s Core Product division the following year, where she led strategic development of Bloomberg's instant chat platform (IB) for three years.

As Product Manager for IB, Maliha was responsible for the release of Bloomberg’s first pill and plugin framework and API offering. Through this technology, the company was able to deliver solutions that leveraged its robust NLP capabilities, integrated with its renowned communication platform, and complied with the continuously evolving regulatory landscape for bilateral trade negotiation.

In 2021, Maliha moved to the product team responsible for the Bloomberg Professional Mobile App. Since then, she has executed on the development and strategy of Bloomberg’s mobile application product for clients, with a specific focus on IB, Markets & Monitors, Search, and the app’s landing page - Home. Her achievements include onboarding of new functionality through use of the app’s SDK, features that have improved discoverability of the app’s rich offering for data and analytics, and enhancements to the way users communicate and stay connected when away from the desk.

Maliha graduated from New York University in 2007 with a B.A. in Politics, Spanish & Public Policy. In addition to spending time with her husband and 3 year-old girl, she loves traveling, reading and is an avid foodie

David Easthope

Senior Analyst, Head of Fintech

David Easthope is a senior analyst and heads up fintech research on the Market Structure and Technology team and has over 20 years of experience in the capital markets sector. Prior to joining the Firm, he led Celent’s (a division of Oliver Wyman, Inc.) Capital Markets practice, where he focused on technology and operations in the sector. His expertise includes digital transformation, innovation, SaaS, data and analytics, crypto and digital assets, and other emerging technologies.

He regularly advises financial institutions, technology firms and strategic investors on strategy, growth, digital, vendor selection, and investments. Prior to Celent, he was a director of Corporate Strategy at Charles Schwab, Inc. where he advised on cross-firm initiatives. David has been widely referenced in the press, including Bloomberg, Financial Times and CNBC and is a regular speaker at industry events (ISITC, SIBOS, SIFMA Ops, InvestOps, DerivOps, and TradeTech). He is a Chartered Financial analyst.

Over 25 years of diverse enterprise IT experience in consulting, enterprise solutions, product management, operations and quality management including new business incubation.

Joining Samsung in 2012, currently responsible Mobile B2B WW partnerships and alliances supporting numerous strategic partners like IBM, Microsoft, and Google, VMware and others.

Prior this role, led and built the B2B device portfolio including Enterprise Edition, Tab Active and XCover series to market.

Prior to joining Samsung, served 12 years at HP in numerous transformational roles as a part of Corporate CIO and COO Office, Americas Direct Sales Operations, and Asia Pacific Regional Business Unit (P&L).

While serving at HP Asia Pacific, incubated four new solution-centric business units that included VDI, retail POS and educational solutions with Citrix, VMware and Microsoft.

Prior to HP, specialized in IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture at Ernst & Young’s Advanced Center for Excellence based out of Los Angeles serving F500 clients in media, automotive, healthcare and energy industries.

Sean Ginevan

Sean currently serves as Head of Global Strategy for Android Enterprise at Google, where he is responsible for the development of market strategy, developer relations, and go-to-market programs for Android in the enterprise market.

Sean previously worked at Mobilelron across roles in corporate strategy, businesses and corporate development, product management, and marketing. During his tenure, he helped grow the company from stealth mode to lPO and a #1 rank in the 2014 Deloitte Fast 500. Prior to Mobilelron, Sean held engineering, marketing, and editorial roles with Cisco Systems, CMP Media (now Informa), and AOL. Sean has an MS in Information Management and a BS in Information Management and Technology, both from Syracuse University.
