Advancing the Fixed Income Ecosystem with Bloomberg Tradable Trackers

In this webinar, learn how a new suite of fixed income indices, Tradable Trackers, will support innovation in the index-linked products market by facilitating the development of standardized and listed products as well as the advancement of portfolio trading. These products will aim to provide the market with tools to hedge bond exposures, identify trading opportunities and efficiently gain credit exposure. 

The first Tradable Tracker index (TTIGCU) tracks the Bloomberg US Corporate Bond Investment Grade Index (LUACTRUU). Based on market feedback, trackers on additional indices such as US Corporate High Yield and Pan-European versions will be made available. Featured topics:

Umesh Gajria

Umesh Gajria is Global Head of Index-Linked Products at Bloomberg, overseeing index derivative products and analytics. In addition, he leads the firm’s efforts in the transition to Risk Free Rates (RFRs) including ISDA fallbacks. Earlier he served as COO for Bloomberg’s Enterprise Product business, after joining the firm in 2017. Previously, Mr. Gajria was an Executive Director of Global Business Development at CME Group where he led growth initiatives for the Financial Products business. Before that he worked in various roles at US Bank, JP Morgan and Lexis Nexis. Mr. Gajria holds a B.S. in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dave Mullen

Senior Index Business Manager

David Mullen is a senior business manager in Bloomberg Index Services Limited. In this role he is responsible for developing the firm’s tools for analyzing Index-Linked products, macro trading strategies and developing the Bloomberg index ecosystem. Mr. Mullen has been with the firm for over 20 years and prior to his current role, he was responsible for developing BSKT – the ETF market’s first electronic Creation/Redemption platform. In addition he has developed FI ETF analytics on the Bloomberg system as well as other credit market tools for relative value analysis, price discovery and key fixed income functionality. Prior to that role he was responsible for developing Bloomberg’s Fixed Income Electronic Trading platform (FIT). He has also functioned as a fixed income Application Specialist and spoken at many industry conferences on how to find value in the fixed income markets. Before joining Bloomberg, he spent several years as a fixed income trader and salesperson at several Wall Street firms including Deutsche Bank, Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette and Prudential Securities.

Fateen Sharaby

Index Business Manager

Fateen Sharaby is an index business manager within Bloomberg Index Services Limited. In this role, he is responsible for growing the derivatives business linked to Bloomberg indices including bilateral and cleared OTC swaps, listed futures and options as well as related tools and analytics. Before joining Bloomberg, Mr. Sharaby was an Executive Director of Clearing & Post-Trade Product Management at CME Group where he led a global product management team responsible for the development of all new listed and cleared OTC products and post-trade services from inception to marketplace adoption. Before that he worked in various roles at IBM Global Business Services and Countrywide Financial. Mr. Sharaby holds a B.S. in business management from California State University, Northridge.

Amine Khanjar

Quantitative Researcher

Amine Khanjar is a quantitative researcher in the portfolio and risk analytics group at Bloomberg. His research focuses on fixed income analytics, credit selection strategies, liquidity along with risk modelling. Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2016, he was a senior researcher at Barclays Capital. Amine holds a Masters degree in Financial Engineering from New York University (NYU) and an Engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris.
