Australia Offshore Wind Outlook

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Hype around offshore wind is at an all time high in Australia, driven by rapidly emerging government targets and private sector ambition. Over 46 gigawatts of offshore wind capacity has been proposed in a market which has little clarity on the development process, future government mechanisms and fiscal support. However, as coal rapidly retires, demand for hydrogen exports grow and electricity demand rises, offshore wind could play a key role in generating clean power for the country.

Join Oliver Metcalfe, Head of Wind Research, and Tushna Antia, Large-Scale Renewables Analyst, as they discuss the outlook for offshore wind in Australia, exploring challenges and opportunities, while shedding light on global trends and best practices.
