Perspectives on Emerging Market Debt in a Period of Global Distress

Emerging market debt is one of the fastest growing segments of global fixed income, commanding greater attention from institutional investors worldwide. This rise has naturally given way to key questions as the global economy contends with tighter financial conditions and rising geopolitical risk. How do you protect against rising interest rates? How will Russia's war in Ukraine impact economic growth? How does China's policy of common prosperity impact returns? How should investors position amid the politics of the moment?

Find answers at the Emerging Market Fixed Income Forum, powered by Bloomberg Intelligence: our proprietary investment research team of over 400 analysts worldwide. This virtual event will see industry leaders explore the key trends that are reshaping the global investment landscape.

Sessions: Assessing the Impact of a U.S. Recession on Emerging Market Fixed Income
Risk of a U.S. recession is growing more likely, with the potential to impact valuations across EM asset classes. As Fed tightening, China lock-downs and the war in Ukraine collide, who is best positioned and why? How has the risk of contagion evolved across EM and how do you expect policy makers to respond?

Portfolio Manager Perspectives & Positioning in an Inflationary Environment
After nearly four decades of dormant inflation, EM economies must now contend with rising price pressures and the possibility that they may take longer to dissipate than initially anticipated. What is the impact of higher interest rates on market structure and liquidity? Is a more persistent inflationary impulse causing creditors to adjust their investment timelines?

Seeking a Systematic Approach to EM Investment – Opportunities and Challenges
Emerging markets are considered a challenging sector in which to apply quantitative or systematic approaches. Yet as markets evolve and transparency improves, the ability to extract risk premia at the factor-level has grown more efficient. Which asset classes offer the greatest potential for investors looking to harvest systematic alpha? How do systematic investors integrate non-linear variables into their decision tree?
