Sam Fazeli is a senior analyst and the EMEA head of Bloomberg Intelligence, a dynamic platform for in-depth research available on the Bloomberg Professional service at BI . Dr. Fazeli specializes in global pharmaceuticals, bringing over 20 years of experience conducting equity research as a pharmaceutical analyst, working at firms such as Nomura International and HSBC. Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2010, Dr. Fazeli worked at Piper Jaffray, Ltd. as a pharmaceutical analyst and head of European research. Before transitioning to investment banking, he was a research scientist for seven years. Dr. Fazeli has been ranked a top analyst by both the U.K. and Pan-European Extel surveys. He received a bachelor’s of science from Cardiff University, and a Ph.D. in pharmacology from the University of London.

Dr. Shiven Patel

Madison Memorial Hospital in Idaho

Dr. Shiven Patel, MD, MBA, FACP, is the Medical Director of Madison Memorial Hospital in Idaho (2017-present) and an Associate Professor of Oncology at the Huntsman Cancer Institute (09/2015-present) and the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (09/2015-present), both in Salt Lake City. Previously, he was a Hospitalist at the MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore (07/2011-06/2012). Dr. Patel is a specialist in adult hematology and medical oncology, and his main areas of interest include thoracic cancers (head and neck, thyroid, lung, mesothelioma, and thymic). He is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology and is a member of several national organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Association of Cancer Research. Throughout his medical training, Dr. Patel has been involved in both laboratory and clinical research. He has presented his work at multiple national meetings and published the findings in peer-reviewed journals. He is a co-investigator in several clinical trials at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and is working to bring more studies to the Huntsman Cancer Institute to benefit his patients.
