Eric has been at Bloomberg L.P. for 12 years and is currently the Public Funds Business Manager responsible for setting the business policy for functions and data that help users analyze the fund industry, including mutual funds, closed end funds, ETFs, and separate managed accounts. He has over 40 years of experience in the fund industry, starting with 15 years at fund manager, Dreyfus Inc., where he helped build their unit investment trusts and variable annuity products and later was responsible for institutional sales in the Rockies and the East Coast of the US. Leveraging the Dreyfus experience, Eric consulted to banks in improving their accounting efficiencies through Process Management at Coopers & Lybrand. Next, he consulted to US banks, constructing strategic marketing plans for their mutual fund and investment management businesses BISYS Fund Services. In the years prior to joining Bloomberg, Eric held several positions at Lipper Inc., including Global Sales Manager, COO, and finally CEO.

Fabio Moretta is a Market and Workflow specialist focused on Fund Analytics and Multi-Manager Portfolio Analysis. Fabio has been with Bloomberg for the past 15 years in multiple roles supporting clients on the Buy-side and managing a team in the Portfolio Enterprise business. Fabio works with clients and the product teams to develop the product and optimise workflows.

Eric Balchunas is Senior ETF Analyst for Bloomberg Intelligence where he writes for and leads the fund research team. He also helped create and appears on the first-ever ETF TV show called Bloomberg ETF IQ as well as a podcast called Trillions. He is also a Bloomberg Opinion contributor and author of The Institutional ETF Toolbox, which was published by Wiley in March 2016. Eric holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Environmental Economics from Rutgers University.

With nearly a decade of experience in maintaining EMEA ETF data at Bloomberg London, Akiko has an in-depth knowledge of the EMEA ETF market structure and products. Dealing with the fragmented market, Akiko has made sure the liquidity is accurately captured on listing- as well as aggregate-level. She steered the product through challenging regulatory implementations such as MiFID II and recently SFDR Level I. While there was a gap in media coverage of EMEA ETFs, Akiko catered to clients’ needs and published newsletters featuring the most accurate statistics in the industry. Akiko has an MSc in Economics and is a designated CAIA.
