Stephen Bruel
Head of Derivatives and FX, Market Structure and Technology
Coalition Greenwich
Stephen joined Coalition Greenwich to head up the Derivatives and FX practice within the Market Structure and Technology team. He brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to the role. Prior to joining Greenwich, Stephen was a Vice President and head of Derivatives Product Management at Brown Brothers Harriman. He was responsible for defining BBH’s derivatives strategy, which included product development and prioritization of capital and technology investments. He joined BBH in 2011, prior to which he was a research director in TowerGroup’s Securities and Investment practice. He analyzed business strategy and technology trends in the securities industry, with a particular emphasis on derivatives. He has also worked at State Street and Citi in a variety of operations, project, and technology management roles. Stephen has represented the organizations he worked for on a number of industry working groups such as the Asset Manager Forum’s Collateral Management Committee and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) Portfolio Reconciliation / Dispute Resolution Working Group. He has also spoken at a wide variety of industry conferences, and has been quoted in media such as Global Custodian, Securities Finance Times, and others. Stephen has a bachelor’s degree from Trinity College.

Steve is a member of Bloomberg's Foreign Exchange and Economics Market Specialist team. The Market Specialist team is comprised of former institutional salespeople, traders, and structurers, the team serves as the de facto asset class experts at Bloomberg. In addition to working with the Bloomberg user base, market specialist lead internal education, represent Bloomberg through industry speaking engagements and publications, and are product evangelists for the Bloomberg Professional Service. Over his nearly 15 year career at Bloomberg, Steve has worked in a number of capacities on the market specialist team and Bloomberg's FXGO platform. Prior to rejoining the Market Specialist team, Steve also spent 4 years as the Enterprise Sales Manager for North American regional sellside and Corporations. Steve began his career at Lehman Brothers and then Morgan Stanley where he was an institutional sales person covering CTAs, hedge funds, and real money.

Tod Van Name is Bloomberg's Global Head of Foreign Exchange Electronic Trading. He oversees business strategy and product development for FXGO, which is used by the world’s leading FX professionals in corporations, hedge funds, global and regional banks, investment management firms and pension funds. He also serves as Vice President of Bloomberg Global Market Services, LLC. Mr. Van Name and his team were instrumental in developing FXGO, a multi-bank platform for negotiating FX spot, forwards, non-deliverable forwards, swaps, deposits and option transactions. FXGO connects buy-side firms with more than 800 major and regional liquidity providers worldwide, enabling complete and accurate price discovery with in-depth coverage of emerging markets and a wide range of derivatives for both regulated and unregulated markets. Prior to Bloomberg, he traded currencies and options for over 19 years at several major banks, serving as Senior Vice President and FX Manager at Fuji Bank, where he oversaw the spot, forward and option trading desks.
