Japan, the world’s third-largest liberalized power market, has seen an explosion of futures trading activity—grabbing the attention of energy market participants, from Asian gas traders to European power desks. Japanese power prices have calmed since sky-high gas prices sent them soaring in 2022. BloombergNEF expects Japan’s power prices to continue to ease in the next two years, underpinned by nuclear restarts and renewable capacity additions amid sluggish demand. Tune in for a webinar covering key takeaways from BNEF’s first-ever Japan Power Market Outlook report. Our analysts will unpack the regional, seasonal, and intraday supply-demand dynamics, and examine the impact of fuel costs, different nuclear scenarios and the wider energy transition on the outlook for power prices in east and west Japan. ※本ウェビナーは英語で開催されますが、AI翻訳による日本語字幕をご利用いただけます。
