LNG Market Outlook and the Impact on Japan’s Power Balance

Europe could get through the winter without Russian gas, thanks to liquefied natural gas supplies. But Japan is bracing itself for a winter energy crunch too. The country's power supply-demand balance is expected to be tight given limited fuel supply (LNG, coal) and power capacity. Nuclear restarts are expected to help ease power supply, but an extremely cold winter could throw the global LNG market into further turmoil and with it Japan's energy outlook. Join BloombergNEF's LNG and Japan market analysts to unpack some of these issues.
