Preparing for Priips – Focus on the Key Information Document (KID)

Are you up to date on your PRIIPs requirements?
Are you eligible for an exception if you manage a UCITS fund?
What methodology should you be using for transaction costs?

Following numerous amendments, revisions and updates since the regulation was introduced, clients have been left with a multitude of questions.

We are delighted to invite you to an interactive webinar on PRIIPS, where we will look to answer some of those. Diving into how Bloomberg can assist clients with technical requirements of the KID.

Setting the Scene - we will open the webinar by exploring the state of play for retail investment disclosure rules in the EU, and highlight the UK announcement to repeal PRIIPs and replace it with a new retail disclosure regime. We will also give an insight into how these requirements may potentially change in the future.

The KID for category 1,2 and 3 products - we will cover Bloomberg solutions dedicated to contribute to the generation of KIDs for category 1,2 and 3 products, as well as covering client implementation options and typical customer workflows. We will then discuss changes in recent methodology for PRIIPS scenario analytics.

Implicit costs for the KID - finally, we will detail how Bloomberg’s TCA and MAR solution, BTCA, can help calculate transaction costs to meet ‘implicit cost’ calculation standards based on the “arrival price” methodology. The tool also allows clients to monitor trade data and pull out exceptions that breach rule criteria, which can further assist clients in their regulatory requirements.
