The Publicly-Traded Partnership (PTP) requirement by the IRS is scheduled to come into force in January 2023, after a one year delay in implementation. This will require that agents identify exposures to partnerships with US Source income, and withhold upon these on behalf of non-US recipients of partnership distributions. Firms will need to have a method to identify these exposures and ensure compliance.

This session will explore the background, scope, and solution for compliance with IRS Regulations under §1446(f).

Agenda:
  • Provide overview of the regulation and IRS requirement
  • Discuss applicability to particular asset classes
  • Explain Bloomberg’s methodology and provide examples
  • Present Bloomberg’s solution to automate identification and compliance
  • Live Q&A
