Publicly-Traded Partnership Withholding: Practical Challenges to Compliance
The Publicly-Traded Partnership (PTP) requirement by the IRS entered into effect in January 2023 after a one year delay in implementation. Withholding is now required on income resulting from partnerships with US Source income. Firms are required to be actively identifying these exposures and withhold in cases where they are required to.
