Gina Martin Adams, CFA, CMT, is the Global Head of Portfolio Strategy and Chief Equity Strategist for Bloomberg Intelligence, a unique research platform that provides context on markets, industries, companies, and government policy, available on the Bloomberg Professional Service at BI . Gina provides top-down perspective on the equity market, sectors and industries with a multi-disciplined approach that utilizes fundamental, quantitative and technical analysis. Prior to joining Bloomberg, she was the head of U.S. Equity Strategy for Wells Fargo Securities, where she provided analysis and investment allocation recommendations for Wells Fargo Securities' institutional clients. Previously, she was an economist for Wachovia Bank, and an investment strategy analyst for Evergreen Asset Management. Mrs. Adams has a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration with concentrations in Finance and Marketing from the University of Florida. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician designations, and is a member of the CFA Institute, the CMT Association, the CFA Society of New York, the American Association of Professional Technical Analysts, the Financial Women's Association, and 100 Women in Finance.

Chris Cain

Quantitative Equity Strategist

Christopher Cain, CMT, is the U.S. Quantitative Equity Strategist for Bloomberg Intelligence, a division of Bloomberg LP, and is based in New York, NY. Christopher provides analysis and strategy on equity factor investing and other quantitative, model-driven equity market topics. He is the 2020 Charles H. Dow Award-Winning author of Quantamentals - Combining Technical and Fundamental Analysis in a Quantitative Framework for Better Investment Results. Prior to joining Bloomberg, he was a quantitative analyst focused on building alpha generating trading strategies for institutional investors. He is also a former fixed income market maker, managing a 500MM trading book consisting of cash rates products (US Treasuries, US Agencies and SSA Bonds) and US Interest Rate derivatives. Christopher is passionate about systematic/quantitative investing, equity factor modeling, trading system design and testing, Python programming and behavioral finance. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and holds the Chartered Market Technician designation.

Nick Kalivas

Head of Factor and Core Equity Product Strategy

Nick Kalivas is Head of Factor and Core Equity Product Strategy for the Invesco ETFs and Indexed Strategies team. In this role, he and his team are charged with working on researching and developing product-specific strategies, as well as creating thought leadership to help position and promote the smart beta and factor-based ETF and index lineup. Mr. Kalivas joined Invesco in 2014. Prior to his current role, he was a senior equity ETF strategist. Before joining the firm, he spent the majority of his career in the futures industry, delivering research, strategy, and market intelligence to institutional and high-net-worth clients in the equity and interest rate markets. He was a featured contributor for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and provided research services to a New York-based global macro commodity trading advisor where he supplied insight on equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and commodities. Mr. Kalivas has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The New York Times, by Reuters and the Associated Press, and has made numerous appearances on CNBC and Bloomberg. Mr. Kalivas earned a BBA degree in accounting and finance from the University of Wisconsin —Madison and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business with concentrations in economics, finance, and statistics. He holds the Series 7 and 63 registrations.

Gaurav Pendse

Head of Equity Product Development

Gaurav Pendse is the Head of Equity Product Development for Bloomberg Indices focusing on breaking new ground in the equity indexing space. In this role, he leads the effort of devising innovative solutions particularly in the thematic and factor space that allow investors to gain access to unique offerings that complement their portfolios. Gaurav joined Bloomberg in 2021. Prior to that he spent 5 years at Nasdaq building thematic indices. Gaurav earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers Universe focusing on Finance, Applied Mathematics, and Computer Science. He has also received a Master of Science degree in Operations Research from Columbia University.
