Richard Young

Richard joined Bloomberg in September 2015 in an industry relations role in Data. This role includes advocacy for Bloomberg's Open Symbology initiatives, covering instrument and entity identifiers. Richard also undertakes wider industry and regulatory outreach on the data aspects of Bloomberg’s services, including those related to regulatory driven initiatives. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Richard spent 20 years with the financial messaging and standards body – SWIFT, where he held a variety of roles in sales and marketing. He led initiatives with EU and other regulators to raise awareness of the operational impacts of regulation, including strengthening the regulatory recognition of financial messaging and reference data standards. This involved a particular focus on the promotion of the ISO 20022 financial messaging standard to EU regulatory bodies. Prior to joining SWIFT Richard held product management roles with a leading global custodian for four years, and before that with the London Stock Exchange.

Oliver Bishop is an ESMA Regulatory Reporting Specialist at Bloomberg, where he plays a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the firm’s regulatory reporting solutions. As Product Manager for MiFIR reporting—covering both Approved Reporting Mechanism (ARM) and Approved Publication Arrangement (APA) services—he ensures compliance, innovation, and alignment with evolving European regulatory standards. He also serves as Business Manager for Bloomberg’s regulated entities and is the firm’s primary representative to the Association of Post-Trade and Regulatory Market Authorities (APARMA). Oliver sits on the Executive Committee of Bloomberg’s Data Reporting Services Provider (DRSP). Prior to joining Bloomberg, Oliver was a Consulting Partner at Elixirr, where he also led the firm’s M&A and Corporate Development initiatives. He was instrumental in driving MiFIR reporting remediation projects for top-tier financial institutions, blending regulatory expertise with strategic delivery.

Previously, he led sales for Bloomberg’s Trade Order Management System and supported exchange feeds. Antonis began his Bloomberg career as a programmer in the Engineering Department, focusing on foreign exchange solutions.
