SFDR Fund Reported Data Webinar: Understanding the Sustainability Profile of ESG Funds
The market for ESG green funds is rapidly expanding - with almost $ 8 trillion assets under management of SFDR Art 8 and 9 funds in Europe. Investors in SFDR Artice 8 and 9 funds require a detailed understanding of a fund’s sustainability credentials for their own portfolio management and regulatory reporting workflow so advisors and wealth managers require a thorough understanding of a fund for their MiFID II compliance assessment.
Fund managers are given flexibility by the SFDR regulation on defining how their fund's ESG goals and sustainable investments are achieved. Data collected by Bloomberg shows great variations in the amounts of sustainable investment disclosed by funds categorized as article 8 or 9. Given this, investors should make sure to get a detailed understanding of a fund’s sustainability profile. As of January 1, 2023 fund managers will need to provide pre-contractual and periodic disclosures under SFDR that will support this analysis. The European ESG Template (EET) facilitates the exchange of data between fund managers and investors. Bloomberg sources EET data directly from asset managers covering all key reporting metrics including SFDR classification, EU Taxonomy alignment, PAI considerations and Sustainable Investment % for up to 26K funds classified as Art 6, 8 and 9.
Join Bloomberg experts to explore the latest trends on ESG Funds, better understand the challenges of ESG Fund reported data, and learn how Bloomberg can assist with SFDR EET Fund reported data.
