Camilla Macapili Languille is the Head of Life Sciences withinMubadala’s Direct Investments platform where she is responsible for the fund’s international healthcare investments across the pharmaceuticals, medtech, tools & diagnostics, healthcare IT,provision, biotech, and animal health sectors, spanning multiple asset classes (private equity, public equities, funds). Camilla joined Mubadala in 2013 and has c. 20 years of experience working across multiple industries within the corporate finance and principal investment fields in North America, Europe and MENA, with a focus on healthcare and technology. Prior to Mubadala, Camilla worked in M&A and investments for Daiwa Capital and Société Générale based in Paris, and in investments for Virgin Group’s headquarters in London, where she managed the Special Situations portfolio and helped to launch Virgin Healthcare. She began her career in Healthcare M&A for JPMorgan in New York and London, focusing on pharma, medtech and biotech. She currently serves on the Boards of PCI Pharma, Envision Pharma Group, and Rodenstock. Camilla holds a Bachelor’s degree (summa cum laude) in Economics & Political Science from Columbia University of New York. She is a Canadian national and is fluent in English and French.
Millicent Clarke

Millicent Clarke is Head of Human Resources, Africa and Middle East (AME) for Standard Chartered Bank, where she is responsible for the overall strategic people agenda. Millicent joined Standard Chartered Bank in August 2013 as the Regional Head of Talent for Africa and became Head of HR Africa in December 2013. Before joining the Bank, Millicent was Head of HR, Retail and Business Banking for Barclays Africa. She also worked for the leading shipping firm Maersk and left as the Organisational Development Executive for Africa in 2006. Millicent also spent her earlier career lecturing Business Management in various tertiary institutions in Ghana and South Africa. She holds a Masters in Business Leadership (MBL) from the University of South Africa, a BA(Sec) Honours Degree and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. She has participated in various leadership programmes in South Africa, as well as at INSEAD (France) IMD (Switzerland) and SAID Business School (Oxford). She is a Non-Executive Director of Maersk South Africa and a Shareholder of Legacy Girls College, the first privately-owned girls’ college in Ghana. She was appointed to the Standard Chartered Bank Zimbabwe Board of Directors in August 2016 as a Non-Executive Director, as well as a member of the Board Risk Committee. Millicent is based in Dubai. She is married and has two children.

Carolyn is the Head of Strategic Development for Standard Bank Group and lives in Johannesburg, South Africa with her family. While she is an experienced executive with 20 years experience in financial services, Carolyn, has had the privilege of working across several industries including Oil & Gas/ Petrochemicals, Information Technology IT), Financial Consulting and Financial Services. Since graduating with a bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town, Carolyn she has earned a number of further qualifications including MIT’s Advanced Management Program (MIT AMP). In her current role Carolyn reports to the Chief Executive of the Standard Bank Group as the Head of Strategic Development. In this role, Carolyn is a key driver of strategic initiatives and strategies for the bank, leveraging her deep insights, research, complex problem solving, leadership and execution capabilities to build a significant legacy of solutions and important strategic relationships both inside and outside the bank. She is instrumental in developing the strategic value of important relationships, including MIT and Standard Bank’s single largest shareholder and key strategic partner ICBC.
