As we head into winter 2022, gas market dynamics remain unprecedented. With an already tight global supply/demand balance exacerbated by reduced Russian flows to Europe, greater competition for LNG, several large-scale LNG supply outages and reemerging spot Asian demand, the market continues to grapple with record prices and extreme volatility, potentially forcing Europe to ration gas.
