However, \u201cif you focus solely on tech, you might miss how relevant some of the big industrial companies, such as Siemens Energy and GE Vernova, are to what&#8217;s happening in AI,\u201d she says. \u201cThematics really offer a lot more agility to investors, because we&#8217;re actually looking at where the growth is coming from. At the same time, the nature of defense spending has shifted, as governments increase commitments to technology.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The European Defense Thematic Index reflects changes in the way governments configure their military organizations, employing technologies like AI and unmanned drones as much as traditional hardware like tanks and missiles.
