ensure a clear, simple and smart regulatory framework for businesses and drastically reducing administrative, regulatory and reporting burdens, in particular for SMEs. The Code adopts a principles\u2011based approach aligned with the G20\/OECD Principles (2023) and aims to raise governance standards for listed and public companies. It strengthens expectations on board leadership, risk oversight, transparency, shareholder protection, and ESG integration. The CG Code 2026 is based on the G20\/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance (2023) and incorporates best practices from developed markets and ASEAN countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Context<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The VN CG Code 2026 updates Viet Nam\u2019s governance framework in line with international standards and regional best practices, including ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) criteria.
